Registry of Interpreters for the Deaf (RID) advocates for excellence in the delivery of interpretation and transliteration services between people who use sign language and people who use spoken language. RID also maintains a database of qualified & certified freelance interpreters throughout the country.

Follow these steps to access a list of freelance interpreters near you.

  1. Go to https://rid.org/ and select “About RID”
  2. Select “Interpreting Resources” followed by “Hire an Interpreter”
  3. Click on “Member Directory”
  4. In the right column, enter “Zip Code” and select desired “Radius”
  5. Select both “Certified” and “Freelance Status” to YES
